Northern Hospital inpatient capacity expansion 29.0 Redevelopment of the Northern Hospital to include a three level tower block including a 32 bed inpatient unit with an enclosed link to existing departments,sores and shell space for future expansion.The project will be future proofed foa an additional three levels at a future date. 2013-14

Royal Children's Hospital ICT investment (Parkville) 23.9   2011-12
Royal Children's Hospital Main Redevelopment 847.4 Re-build of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) to the west of the existing site. The existing hospital buildings will be demolished with the exception of two modern buildings on the site, the front entry building and the ten-storey research centre, which will be retained as part of the new hospital. The remainder of the existing site will be returned to parkland. The new RCH will have the capacity to treat an extra 35,000 patients a year with improved accommodation and facilities such as more single rooms, neonatal cots and operating theatres with parking for 2,000 cars in a new underground car park. 2006-07
Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital redevelopment 163.0 This initiative delivers on the Government’s election commitment to fund the redevelopment of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. The redevelopment will enable the hospital to meet current and future demand for specialist adult and paediatric ophthalmology and ear, nose and throat services on its existing site in East Melbourne. It will include major reconfiguration, upgrade and expansion of facilities for clinical services and significant improvements to the onsite teaching, training and research facilities. The redevelopment of the hospital is expected to be completed in late 2017. 2013-14

Sunshine Hospital critical care services 15.1 The project scope as defined in the May 2012 budget was to include the provision of 13 new intensive care beds, 2 labour delivery rooms and allows for future establishment of an interventional cardiology services on the Sunshine hospital site. However WH has requested an increase in the project scopewhich requires a refinement to the feasibility study, an increase in the project budget and the establishment of a PCG, the development of a Risk Management plan design $ Sustainability Workshop to be aranged. 2012-13

Werribee Mercy Hospital Mental Health expansion 34.7 The new building will be a 2 storey acute mental health facility with a floor area of approx 4,400 square metres.The new facility will include 54 beds - an increase of 25 - comprising 50 adult inpatient mental health beds, including 10 High Dependency Unit beds plus an additional 4 Physchiatric Assessment and Planning Unit beds (PAPU). 2013-14

Review of the Sunshine Hospital Kitchen to convert it to a finishing kitchen, increase it's capacity to provide food support to stage 3 Inpatient Building. The report highlights 2 options, 1 is a minimilistic expansion to support stage 3 and 2 is expansion to cater for the projected beds in the latest service plan.
