Community advisory groups
Role of a Community Advisory Group (CAG)
A Community Advisory Group is a body set up by Government to work in partnership with a health service to provide leadership by encouraging the community to participate during the planning stages of a proposed redevelopment.
The CAG advises the health service and the department about community issues and concerns and provides a 'bridge' to the wider community.
Specifically, a Community Advisory Group acts as an information and discussion forum for local interest groups and provides a vehicle for community views to be communicated to government.
