4. Bids for funding

The quantity surveyor will be responsible for the preparation of capital and recurrent estimates. This will be carried out in accordance with the Victorian government processes as set out on the Department of Treasury and Finance site for business case and gateway requirements. Refer to the gateway review page for further details on the gateway review process.

The quantity surveyor shall be responsible for the generation of a consolidated report, coordinate all the estimated capital and recurrent costs including engineering infrastructure and make clear the life cycle analysis of the project for supporting the Department of Health and Human Services final submission to BERC to project funding.

The discount rate, escalation rate and other relevant information, is to be confirmed with the Infrastructure Planning and Delivery branch (IPD) project manager at the time of preparation, generally by October of the year prior to the budget bid.
